Hey peeps! I just wanted to pop in and show you some of the books I will be reading for Fall. I am committed to reading at LEAST a book per month. I would love to read more but I know I can get through at least one per month.
During the summer I managed to get three books finished in between working, graduations, college move-ins, vacays, and working on my blog. I picked three books to carry me through the Fall and I’m praying I finish them and can grab at least one more.
I spent a few hours in Barnes and Noble one free Saturday afternoon. Yes, I know there are e-books and the such, but I like the feel of an actual book in my hand. Reading on my Nook almost feels like work. I stare at a screen all during the work day. I don't want to do that in my down time. Plus I read in bed and screen time(even on the night mode) is a fast trip to insominaville for me.
In the past I have had a list of the books I want to pick up and I would rush into B&N, normally on my lunch break, and ask the lady at the front desk to point me to the books. I would pay for them and rush back out the door. But this time I had time to go in and browse until something caught my eye.
After browsing around, eating cookies, drinking coffee and discussing fantasy football with a guy in the magazine section, I finally found three books that I’m excited to read.
Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan
Failing Up by Leslie Odom, Jr.
We're Going to Need More Wine by Gabrielle Union Wade
I feel like this list turned into an actors haul. Crazy Rich Asians is now a hit movie. (I loved the book now I just need to see the movie.) Failing Up was written by one of the stars of the Broadway play, Hamilton. (can someone take me to see it please? NO? ok *sad face*) And my final selection of the day was We're Going To Need More Wine by my fake best friend and actress, Gabrielle Union-Wade.
I had not planned to have a Hollywood Fall book haul but the Universe works in mysterious ways. I finished Crazy Rich Asians in September and I just started Failing Forward. I’m saving Mrs. Union-Wade for November. Yes I will have plenty of wine!
